Following a catastrophic showing in the recent Sabah state election, the majority of Sabah Bersatu divisions are demanding the resignation of party president Muhyiddin Yassin.
Bersatu Libaran division head Yunus Nurdin said that Muhyiddin, who has been struggling to maintain control amid calls to pass the baton to his number two, Hamzah Zainudin, must take full responsibility for the party’s disastrous performance.
He revealed that 20 out of 24 Bersatu divisions had unanimously agreed to demand the former prime minister’s immediate resignation as both Bersatu president and PN chairperson.
