When stories are added to the site sebenarnya.my it doesn't automatically mean that they are fake said Communications and Multimedia minister Salleh Said Keruak.
This came after a documentary by Al Jazeera titled Malaysia: Babies for sale was listed on the site.
He was reported to have said that the site had added a new category for viral news or stories that merited a government response, which was the case for the Al Jazeera documentary.
On the same page on the website is the Inspector General of Police's statement that although baby selling does exist in the country, it is not as common as the documentary had shown.
