Yes, according to Deadline, Snap just ordered a new show appropriately titled, well, True Crime. Keeping with the tone of the app, the show will keep things SNAPPY, with each episode running only four minutes long.
Each episode of the docuseries will focus on a specific different crime -- from murders to disappearances, and everything in between. The possibilities are endless!
Wonder how they’ll fit all that info into four short minutes?!
True Crime is being brought to you by the video team over at Conde Nast, so you know it’s going to be some quality programming. And it looks like the show could just be the beginning for Snapchat.
According to Snapchat’s head of original content Sean Mills, “This is a year where we’ll play with a lot of new genres. We’re still experimenting.”
He even teased the possibility of a daily soap opera on the app.
Because there isn’t enough drama going on in the world every day?!
I kid, I kid. It would be really cool to see what they can do with such a short amount of time. In fact, you can check the first episode, titled “The Deadly Tinder Date,” on Snapchat right now!
BRB, I know what I’m doing after this.
Anyways….what do YOU guys think of Snapchat getting into the True Crime game? Are you into it? Will you tune in? I mean it’s only four minutes of your life, not much to ask TBH.
