Lady Gaga To Star In True Crime Movie!

Lady Gaga is heading back to the big screen! We all loved her in A Star Is Born, but that was only the beginning. She is about to star in another film but this time it’s a true crime movie!
What’s up? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and a star really was born when Lady Gaga landed her Oscar nominated role as Ally in A Star Is Born.
We all knew she was a triple threat, but her acting chops reached new heights with that movie.
And now she’s heading back to the big screen, but this time, instead of a heartfelt romantic movie, she's switching things up with a true crime film.
Yaaas Gaga I love that for her.
And we know she’s got some experience with a variety of acting projects. She showed off her skills in season 6 of American Horror Story. But I am ready for this true crime era.
She is set to star in Ridley Scott's newest film about the Gucci family fashion dynasty.
The film is supposed to dive into the murder of the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci and Lady Gaga will star as Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci.
But this film has been a long standing project for Ridley Scott. When the idea originally came up, Gaga wasn’t actually who they had in mind for the role of Patrizia.
The Hollywood Reporter said quote, “The film has been a long-gestating project for Scott, with details of it first emerging more than a decade ago, with Angelina Jolie once in talks to play the role of Patrizia.”
Oooh I could see that too, but I only have one thing to say about that.
There could be 100 people in the room, but only one who can play Patrizia Reggiani and it’s Lady Gaga.
She will be perfect for this role.
And in case you aren’t familiar with the real life story of the Gucci family, it’s far from the glitz and glam of fashion company itself.
The movie will be based on the book about the family called The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.
That title really does say it all … and not to be morbid… IM READY FOR IT!
And as for Lady Gaga’s character, Patrizia, she had been abandoned after 12 years of marriage to Maurizio in 1985 for a younger woman.
She was then tried and convicted of orchestrating her ex-husband's assassination by a hit man in front of his office in 1995.
She gained the nickname the Black Widow during the trial and served 18 years before being released from prison in 2016.
I cannot WAIT to see Gaga in this role, I can imagine it already. She is going to go full method acting for this one.
The real thing that got fans excited was her iTunes in the background. Eagle eyed fans zoomed in on the iPod and noticed that an unreleased song titled “Stupid Love” was playing.
And while that MAY seem like a reach, it actually isn’t.
Back in August, a fan got their hands on a snipped of one of Gaga’s unreleased tracks and posted it to Twitter.
Of course, it was removed, allegedly for copyright reasons.
But fans recognized the clip as “Stupid Love” by Lady Gaga.
And fans are just anxiously awaiting this new music because it’s been over 3 years since her last studio album Joanne was released in October of 2016.
