Lady Gaga took to her Instagram to confirm that she will be starring opposite Bradley Cooper in a remake of the film, “A Star is Born”, which Bradley will also direct. Gaga got rave reviews for her performance in “American Horror Story” last season, and even won a Golden Globe for her role in the anthology series, so it’s only natural that she’d transition to movies next. And her role in “A Star is Born” is clearly the perfect fit, because she gets to play a singer whose star is on the rise, sooo yeah--doesn’t sound like she’ll have much difficulty with that one! Gaga will also be writing and performing new music for the film, so get ready for Mother Monster to take over all your senses in her silver screen debut next year.
And speaking of Lady Gaga and new music, the “Bad Romance” singer just announced that she’ll be dropping a new single very soon.
Gaga teased the new single on Instagram, posting a series of pics that created a mosaic spelling out the name of the song, "Perfect Illusion." Gaga said the song will be released in September, but didn’t give a specific release date or any kind of announcement of an accompanying album just yet. I don’t know about you guys, but even though I haven’t heard so much as a soundbite of “Perfect Illusion” yet, I can tell just from its name that it’s going to give us all the feels.
