David Letterman has found his late night replacement -- it was just announced that Stephen Colbert will be taking over when Dave retires from "The Late Show" next year. Colbert, who has been in the TV game for quite a long time, seems like the perfect choice to fill Letterman's shoes, and the head of CBS put it perfectly when he said "Stephen Colbert is one of the most inventive and respected forces on television." And to sweeten this news even more, Colbert once revealed that just simply being a guest on Letterman was a highlight of his career. After news of his new gig dropped, Colbert spoke out to say that he never dreamed he'd be following in David Letterman's footsteps, adding that he's grateful CBS chose him. Then, in true Colbert fashion, he finished things off by saying QUOTE: Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go grind a gap in my front teeth. Talk about some big and exciting news in the world of TV and entertainment in general.
