Taylor Swift says she’s been “lousy boyfriend” free for the past year and a half and she isn’t shopping around for anything new. At least not in the testosterone department.
When stopping by Letterman last night to promote 1989, the late night host asked Taylor whether or not she’s had any lousy boyfriends lately to influence some snarky song material.
The star is waving her single girl flag and shaking it all the way to the bank with 1989 selling 600,000 copies in just 24 hours people. She’s not looking for a man. Now some people are speculating that Taylor’s comments insinuated that she’s calling Harry Styles “lousy” because she said she hadn’t had a lousy boyfriend in, specifically, “a year and a half” and the pair broke up roughly around that time ago, but come on, Letterman asked her so quickly, it wasn’t like it was a thoroughly thought-out answer meant to be snarky. We’re guessing she probably just meant she hasn’t had a boyfriend period within the last year and a half and has just been focusing on her music. Hollywood alert: No shade was thrown in the making of her comment.
So Taylor is focusing on her career, enjoying time with her girls, and totally taking over NYC. As she should be doing at this point in her life. Good for you Taylor!
