The Upside Down is temporarily moving from Hawkins, Indiana, to scare the crap out of Hollywood, Orlando, and Singapore.
Halloween Horror Nights has brought us all kinds of epically scary mazes over the years, from ones inspired by American Horror Story, to The Walking Dead, to pretty much every horror property in between. Now, Universal Studios is bringing fans what is already one of the most highly anticipated maze yet: A Stranger Things season 1 maze.
Universal studios explained that the upcoming Stranger Things maze will QUOTE, “bring the chittering, predatory Demogorgon to Halloween Horror Nights to stalk unwitting guests as they encounter iconic scenes, characters, and environments from the mesmerizing series.”
You had me at Demogorgon.
And just in case that didn’t sound legit enough, the Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, along with the show’s producer Shawn Levy, are collaborating with the Horror Nights design team to make sure the Stranger Things maze, scene, and characters featured are all as authentic as possible. The maze will include everything QUOTE, “from the menacing Hawkins National Laboratory under the U.S. Department of Energy, to the Byers home adorned with an erratic display of flashing Christmas lights, and the eerie Upside Down woods oozing a shower of floating orb-like spores.”
Hmmm...I wonder if we’ll run into dead Barb through the Upside Down woods?! And I wonder how many people are going to scream #JusticeForBarb at her if that’s the case...
Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights begins Friday, Sept.14th, in Hollywood and Orlando, and on Friday, Sept. 28th, in Singapore.
