Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi has defended the party’s firebrand youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh against allegations of racism and turned the tables on MCA instead.
Emphasising that the Merlimau assemblyperson is not a racist, he asked: “What proof is there that non-Malays dislike Akmal?”
Responding to MCA vice-president Tan Teik Cheng, he urged the BN component party to engage in self-reflection regarding its political influence.
