Tana Mongeau RETURNS To VidCon Year After TANACON!

One year after Tana Mongaeu tried to compete with VidCon by creating TanaCon which caused that emotional breakdown you just saw, VidCon has officially invited her back.

What’s up guys? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and we all remember when Tana retaliated against VidCon by creating her own convention at the exact same date, time and city!
To say it didn’t go as planned would be an understatement.

About 20,000 of her fans showed up for Tana but it was pretty much just chaos.
People waited in line in the hot sun for hours, there was barely any security, and even though Tana tried to relocate her event to a larger venue at the last second, the local fire marshall eventually shut down her convention.
Basically, it was a mess.

But it seems like VidCon has forgiven Tana for her retaliation, because she was invited BACK this year as a featured creator, which is a first for her.

Not receiving that title was the reason she didn’t attend VidCon in the first place.
Which she didn’t exactly take well.
But even Tana is back on board with Vidcon now and wishes she could erase TanaCon.
She finally feels like she’s getting the respect she deserves from VidCon.
Tana said quote, “VidCon knew how important it was for me to attend as a featured creator, and I am so glad that this year we were able to work together to make something happen. My Number 1 priority has always been my fans, and as a featured creator, I’m excited to have the opportunity to meet with them on-site, thank them for all their support, and discuss my many new projects.”

Tana also shared how the reunion came about and that MTV played a really big role in it. Basically that MTV is owned by Viacom and that Viacom also owns Vidcon and so during her meetings at MTV, they eventually came to her and were like, QUOTE: “Hey, Viacom also owns Vidcon and they really want to talk to you.” Tana went on to say how shocked she was that they wanted to talk with her and later on in the video she shares this on the relationship:
Tana will have her own one-hour panel on the main stage where she can promote her new projects like her upcoming MTV reality show. And if all this drama is any indication of what that will be like, we can’t wait.
Fans are also chiming in on Twitter with their thoughts.
One person said quote, “if tana mongeau can become a featured creator at vidcon, after tanacon, you can do anything.”
And another is excited for Tana’s appearance saying quote, “I wanna go to vidcon, but just to see Tana Mongeau!!!!!”
It seems like this is the moment she’s been waiting for the whole time and so, you know what we’re happy for her. Good for you Tana.
