It’s official – Taylor Swift just had the best birthday weekend EVER.
Hey guys – I’ve missed you. I was out in New Zealand, but you better believe that I’d make it back for Taylor Swift and covering her birthday party!!! So our girl T-Swift turned a quarter of a century old on Saturday December 13 – that’s 25 for those of you who need to pay more attention in school – and she had a action-packed weekend, including serenades by music legends, concerts, parties, and much more.
But let’s start things off from the beginning. On Friday, Taylor spent her morning and afternoon attending Billboard’s Women in Music event where she got to hang with artists such as BEYONCE, Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, Jessie J, Idina Menzel, and Aretha Franklin. In addition to rubbing elbows with these talented ladies at the awesome, female driven event, Aretha sang a personal HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Taylor.
I mean, does it get any better than that? Yes, it actually does.
So later that night Taylor Swift took the stage to perform at Z100’s Jingle Ball, but AFTER that is when the real fun started because Taylor threw herself a little pre-birthday party and just about every star you could imagine was there. Beyonce, Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith, Nick Jonas, John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen, Ansel Elgort, Karlie Kloss, girl group Haim, Charli XCX, Jack Antanoff, and Michael Clifford from 5 Seconds of Summer were all there – just to name a few. Oh I think that might be yours truly in there too…. Seriously.
Taylor also shared an Instagram pic of herself blowing out the candles on her cake, and we think the caption really just sums everything up as she said: “When you're making a wish, but you already have all you really need standing around you.” Beautifully said, Taylor.
One person who was notably missing from the festivities was BFF Lena Dunham, but don’t you worry because Lena got Taylor a necklace with a photo of her cat Meredith on it, and Taylor called it her new most cherished possession.
Anyways, as if that wasn’t enough, Taylor capped off her weekend by attending Justin Timberlake’s sold out concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center where she danced the night away with Queen B. Check it out:
And, in true celebrity fashion, Taylor thanked everyone for the birthday love on Twitter saying:
“I just want to thank anyone who wished me happiness today. You're my friend. These are my friends. And I'm so lucky.”
