A Thai AirAsia Airbus A320 made an emergency landing at Malé International Airport, Maldives around 22 minutes after taking off at 8:25 pm local time on Monday.
Flight FD-178, with 58 passengers on board was en route to Bangkok, Thailand when ''loud banging noises'' were heard and flames began to billow from one of the aircraft’s engines.
All passengers and crew were unhurt in the incident.
