For a while now we’ve wanted to delve a bit deeper into the stories behind some of the epic food we share on Chasing a Plate. It’s a lot easier to do now we’re back home filming in Aotearoa/New Zealand because we can actually communicate with people! Hapunan Filipino Kitchen is one of our favourite eateries- a food truck and takeout shop owned and operated by couple Laura & Aldrin Tabora serving contemporary Filipino food. We’re so excited to share their story with you.

Adobo del diablo (marinated chicken thighs, slaw, coconut rice) $16
Beef kare kare (braised beef in a peanut and annatto sauce, slaw, coconut rice) $16
