It is the place where Mahathir was born ! It was at this traditional Malay house on stilts that Mahathir Mohamad first saw daylight and grew up to become a Malaysian icon. The century old house is well preserved by the Arkib Negara (National Archives) for all to visit. It's location is in the capital of Kedah, Alor Star. For your information, Mahathir was born on July 10, 1925 to Alor Star's Government English School headmaster Mohamad Iskandar and Wan Tempawan Wan Hanafi.  The video takes you outside and inside this simple yet elegant house where everything is perfectly preserved as it was ages ago. You will find useful notations on most of the items in the house, including Mahathir's favourite bicycle.
