The Sabah government recently announced the decision to scrap the implementation of the controversial Sabah Temporary Pass (PSS) immigration document following Pakatan Harapan's defeat in the Kimanis by-election. 
This announcement has put the stateless people in Sabah under the limelight again.
Our reporter paid a visit to Pulau Berhala, a small island that sits just 1km off the shore of Sandakan town recently. More than 2000 residents has occupied this island since the 1970s, and most of them, are the stateless sea nomads, the Bajau.
