'There will be no live telecast of Najib's trial'

Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo has shot down a suggestion that Najib Abdul Razak's trial in court be aired live on television.
The minister said today that national broadcast station RTM and news service Bernama have limited broadcasts and as such would not be able to air the trial of the former prime minister, who is facing a raft of criminal breach of trust and money laundering charges.
He added that there are many other things which should be covered in the country and the news will still cover segments of the trial.
