If you haven’t seen To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, first of all HOW?! IT’S SO GOOD. And secondly, you should be aware that there are spoilers headed your way because we’re talking all about what a potential sequel to the hit Netflix Rom-Com could be about.
Okay, so now that you’ve been warned, let’s dive in and discuss what we know.
The book, which the movie is based off of, is the first part of an entire trilogy by author Jenny Han, so there is definitely more story to be told. And if it were up to me and people all over the world, I think we can agree that we really want them to tell it. The director of To All The Boys also gave fans serious hope during an interview with ET saying QUOTE “We’re all attached contractually if we want to do the movie again, which is super exciting.”
Uh, yeah!
She also revealed a little bit about Netflix’s process in deciding whether or not to give their movies’ sequels saying QUOTE “Netflix said that their general time frame is 28 days; they watch how well the movie does over the period of a month and once that’s over, they can make a decision about a sequel. I love the fans being vocal about it, the more, the better.”
Alright, guys, you heard her. The more the better!
In all honestly, though, it seems highly unlikely that Netflix wouldn’t greenlight a sequel to the movie since it’s legit a HUGE hit and it was released like a week ago. I, myself, have watched it multiple times. So, if and when, but mostly when, Netflix announces a sequel, it will be pretty easy for those of us who have watched the first to see where the story can go. As you can recall, after the movie wraps with that kiss we’re still melting over, the credits are interrupted by a surprise visitor. It’s John Ambrose McClaren, another letter recipient from Lara Jean’s past. And guess what, he’s also a major character in the second book. Soooooo… hmmm? That definitely says a lot.
AKA… there’s another boy in town trying to win Lara Jean’s heart. And we. Can’t. wait. To. Watch. It. On. Our. Television.
Now I want to hear from all of you! What do you think about the synopsis for the sequel? Are you as impatient waiting for Netflix as I am? Leave your thoughts and Peter Kavisnky feelings down in the comments. Then you can all click here for another brand new video and of course, be sure to subscribe to all of our channels. I’m Sinead de Vries, thanks for watching, and I’ll see you guys next time!
