Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today held a brief meeting with United States President Donald Trump before his departure for Tokyo, Japan, following his two-day visit here for Asean meetings.

Anwar said the meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to review the outcomes of the Malaysia-US bilateral discussions held earlier, particularly in the areas of strategic cooperation involving trade, technology and regional security.

In a post on his Truth Social account later, Trump described Malaysia as “a great, very vibrant country.”
