US President Donald Trump's tweet criticising US retailer Nordstrom has
critics accusing him of misusing public office to benefit his family’s own business.
On Wednesday Trump launched a Twitter attack at the retailer, saying that it had treated his daughter “unfairly”. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer had also characterised the retailer’s move as a “direct attack” on the President’s policies at a daily press briefing later that day.
Last week Nordstrom announced that it would cut ties with Ivanka Trump's line of clothing over declining sales.
