Trump Responds to Low Oscars Ratings With CRINGEWORTHY Tweet

Another day, another questionable tweet, courtesy of the man that is, no big, just running our entire country, so forever cue the awkward laughs…
Everyone knows by now that the duties of any U.S. president include things like worrying about the well-being of our nation, mending ties with foreign leaders, and apparently… slamming the Oscars.
It’s safe to say America partook in one unanimous eye roll following Donald Trump’s tweet during Oscar night, pointing out that this year, the award show suffered its lowest ratings in Oscar history.
According to a Neilson report, ratings for the telecast dove 20% from last year’s viewer count of 32.9 million, hitting a record low of 26.5 million viewers. Naturally Mr. Prez had to weigh in and even attempted a rather cringe-y dad joke that didn’t go down so smooth with his 300 million peeps of America.
He tweeted QUOTE, “Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore - except your President (just kidding, of course)!”
Side note – is it too early for like a mimosa, or some sort of shot of whatever…? Asking for a friend.
This isn’t the first time Trump has come for Hollywood, although it HAS been months since he’s attempted to come after Alec Baldwin for his “terrible” AKA spot-on impersonation of him on Saturday Night Live, or the “very insecure” Oprah Winfrey on Twitter.
But his most recent celeb trolling was targeted to Meryl Streep, dubbing her as QUOTE, “one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood” following her Golden Globes speech. He also H
I’ve just gotta say, homeboy’s got a lotta nerve coming for Meryl, but hey, to each his own.
So guys, there’s really not much else to say here but I will leave you with one thing: In the words of the great Jimmy Kimmel, “Where there is light, there is always hope. Except at the White House. Hope quit on Wednesday.”
