Gal Gadot responds RESPONDS to Wonder Woman’s Oscar Snub
Oh hey, Gal Gadot is a real life wonder woman.
After the massive success of last year’s Wonder Woman, many fans were shocked that the DC hit, the film’s stars including leading lady, Gal Gadot, and of course the film’s director, Patty Jenkins, were being overlooked for awards nominations.
After such critical acclaim and the film literally breaking box office records, it was hard to believe that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association hadn’t considered it for a Golden Globe, but many held on to the hope that the Academy would bestow an Oscar nom, or two. Unfortunately, the academy did not agree with the fans, and alas, Wonder Woman continues without any award nominations.
But Gal Gadot isn’t letting an award define the movie that stood for so much more than superheroes, but instead was an incredible example of women rocking Hollywood.
When asked about the Oscar snub, Gal told Entertainment Tonight QUOTE
"I was very moved and touched by the people who were disappointed that Wonder Woman wasn't nominated, but we certainly never did the movie for that. I think that you can't have it all. We've done this movie and it was received in such an amazing, wonderful way, and we want to stay humble and grateful, and we're going to have another movie, so who knows? Maybe the next one!"
Well nothing will show them like another incredible Wonder Woman Movie. Award or not, we’ll be heading to the theatre to see Gal kick butt any day.
