Umno confirmed that acting party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and four others are running for the party presidency.
The four are little-known blogger Rahmat Azim Abdul Aziz, Rosile Saat, Mohamed Iqbal Maricair and Mohd Yusof Musa @Jamaluddin.
This was following balloting at the Umno headquarters yesterday evening after the closing of nominations, the party said the full candidates' list has not been finalised.
