Dewan Rakyat speaker Johari Abdul has defended his decision to prioritise six questions from backbenchers in the first 10 questions on the daily order paper in the Dewan Rakyat.
This came after a request from the Government Backbenchers Club to allow more questions from government backbenchers since there are more of them than opposition members.
In arguing against the decision, opposition chief whip Takiyuddin Hassan (PN-Kota Bharu) said that it went against previous practices.
