Tasek Gelugor MP Wan Saiful Wan Jan has offered to step down from his position as Bersatu information chief after being charged with two counts of corruption.
He said his offer was made in line with a personal stance to not be likened to a list of politicians - mostly now in government - branded as the "court cluster".
"So no party should ever liken me to any individuals from the court cluster," he added.
Wan Saiful's first charge is for soliciting a bribe of an unspecified amount and the second charge is for receiving a bribe of RM6.96 million.
