THIS INCREDIBLE MACHINE has been with me for YEARS, and has entertained million upon millions of people on YouTube and the internet. What ever happened to this crowd pleasing favourite? I get into that in this video. I also decide to go one step further and breathe some life into its old chassis with a killer upgraded 2150kv Brushless T8 TEKIN Motor, and an RX4 Element Proof Electronic Speed Control (motor controller). I also install a BEC ( if you are not familiar with a BEC, please see this video: ) To see a video with the RAT ROD REAPER with JUMBO KONGS installed - click here:
I also take some time to test it out, and to ensure that this is even possible. During my adventure, I find out a fellow RC'er passed away a few years ago.. which is very sad. Dan Fischer, from Kershaw Design Owner, passed away November 4, 2017. I used to speak with him about the parts and motors he made for all sort of RC's. His store was named after his Grandfather - who much like Dan, was an amazing person. For those that new Dan, but did not know of his passing (although it was years ago), here is the obit:
Thanks to Dan, I was able to make this monster possible - all those years ago, when Dual motors had never been seen before, much less installed onto a Traxxas Summit.
I believe this video is a great example of what is possible with these trucks:
