P Prabakaran has demanded an apology from those responsible for barring the performance of two traditional Tamil songs at a Tamil language carnival in Penang on Thursday.

The Batu MP raised the issue in Parliament today saying the incident had hurt the Indian community.

He also questioned why pictures of Indian philosopher Thiruvalluvar were banned when Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had recently used quotes from him when tabling Budget 2024.
