BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi promised that the coalition is ready to amend the Federal Constitution regarding the citizenship rights of children born abroad by Malaysian women married to foreign nationals.
"In the name of inclusion, we no longer want children born through mixed marriages, or those with different ethnic and religious identities to be denied the right to make Malaysia their beloved homeland."
We are doing this out of the awareness that patriotism and the love of the country come from harmony and inclusion," he said in announcing the BN manifesto.
