Umno president Zahid Hamidi said that it is clear that PAS supports BN's candidate for the Tanjung Piai by-election, which is represented by MCA.
At a joint ceramah by BN and PAS yesterday night he said that PAS had released a statement that they will not support Berjasa's candidate.
PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan had said that PAS did not consent to Berjasa contesting in Tanjung Piai and instructed all PAS members to vote for the BN candidate Wee Jeck Seng instead.
