BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reaffirmed Umno’s position to respect seats already won by parties in government.
“So our decision is to support any candidate in the name of the unity government, who will be announced by the chairperson,” he said, referring to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim as Harapan chairperson.
“If there were any problems and statements made, my view is that those are stands taken by individual parties and I hope it will be temporary," he added.
