BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi characterised the decision of MCA and MIC not to compete in six state elections as not being a boycott action.
Ahmad Zahid said he will seek clarification from the respective party leaders in the upcoming BN Supreme Council meeting on July 10.
He emphatically stated that BN, as an important and strategic component of the unity government, will continue to play a crucial role in the state elections in those six states.
