Director of One Directions’ documentary, Morgan Spourlock, confirmed that in his experience with the band, past member Zayn had a difficult time dealing with tour demands. He told the Huffington Post QUOTE “I think he was the one who struggled with it the most. And being away, being on the road, being away from his girlfriend I think finally just got to him, and I think he said, ‘I’m done.’”
If you think about Zayn’s personality throughout the journey of One Direction, his leaving the band begins to add up. Remember when One Direction was eliminated from X Factor, Zayn began crying. Or how about during group interviews, he let the other guys do most of the talking. He’s sensitive and shy.
Interestingly, Spurlock also said that Zayn was his favorite member of the band.
Well, talent and disliking fame don’t really go together.
