由华总青主办的《342行：华总青论坛》首场论坛，以"党选新领袖"为主题，邀请了行动党居銮国会议员刘镇东、雪州马青团长张盛闻、自由撰稿人林宏祥以及华总青总秘书霍韦彣，一起从青年人的角度，探讨国家政治格局、趋势和改革。其中，刘镇东认为，马哈迪政权持续过久，是导致青年领袖无法上位的原因。他以英国和澳洲为例，说明政党轮替是一个国家领导层更换新血的时机。
