Coachella 2017 has come and gone in a span of two long weekends, but we were all left with memories in the form of Instagram fashion, insane performances, and even some unforgettable surprise guests.
Today’s episode of News Feed is brought to you by Pandora Premium, where you can search and play your favorite songs. Pandora: sounds like you.
And although none of this year’s surprise performers pulled a Drake/Madonna make-out, they were, however, the cherry on top of an already epic weekend.
Some of the biggest artists in the world joined together in the desert for yet another unforgettable year at Coachella, but it was the surprise guest performers that kept fans on their toes throughout each weekend. Kicking things off with the king of surprise performances, Drake stopped by the festival during Future’s set to perform many of his hits, including “Jumpman” and “Fake Love”, kicking weekend one off with a serious BANG.
The Weeknd, who many spotted with his lady love Selena Gomez prior to hitting the stage, also made a surprise performance on weekend to perform alongside Nav. And what may be one of the most talked about performers this year was Hans Zimmer, who stunned the crowd both weekends performing his most famous musical scores, made headlines after bringing out Pharrell Williams to perform his song “Freedom.”
Although this year’s headliner Kendrick Lamar didn’t appear to have guests during weekend two, he took weekend one by storm after not only singing songs off his brand new album DAMN, but he also brought out Travis Scott, Schoolboy Q and Future to end the weekend on a high note.
Tove Lo left fans with a serious case of “Lady Wood”, performing hits off the album, including her collab with Wiz Khalifa called “Influence”, to which he also appeared alongside her during weekend one to perform.
Another top performer included Gucci Mane, who welcomed a slew of well-known names including 50 Cent, A$AP Rocky and Chief Keef…
BUT it was DJ Khaled who officially takes the cake, surprising weekend one Coachella-goers with a lengthy list of guest performers that included 2 Chainz, French Montana, Migos, Wale, Swae Lee and Rick Ross, and suddenly I understand the meaning behind his infamous catch phrase, “ANUTHA ONE”…
Yep, it all makes sense now! And that concludes our list of 16 surprise guest performers from Coachella 2017, and although I’m not at all over my serious case of FOMO, I’ve gotta know who your favorite performer, guest performer, outfit and/or best moment of the weekend was, so get to talking right down here in the comments, and as always, be sure to subscribe for all the latest updates. Thanks for hanging out with me here on Clevver News, I’m your host Jackie Iadonisi and I’ll see you next time.
And then be sure to click to the left to see what Ed Sheeran had to say about those ‘quitting music’ allegations and click to the right to see all the best and most WTF fashion from Coachella on Dirty Laundry.
