Come on, now, did you REALLY think the Super Bowl was the end of a slay-age of Gaga performances this year? She was only getting warmed up…
Grammy performance additions seem to be tacked on left and right just days before the big day, and all thanks to a sly commercial that aired last night, it was just confirmed that Lady Gaga is set to hit the Grammy stage for the THIRD consecutive year, and she’ll even be joining forces with heavy metal group Metallica.
And considering her Super Bowl performance was full of surprises, who knows what these legends will have in store for us, but I’m just sayingg, a rock version of “Million Reasons” wouldn’t be terrible.
Along with Gaga’s duet, country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerini was also added to the list, along with Danish band Lukas Graham, marking this year as their first Grammy debut. Also joining the lineup are Demi Lovato, Andra Day and Tori Kelly, who will come together with country group Little Big Town for a special collab performance celebrating the Bee Gees and the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Fever.
And speaking of collabs, John Legend will be teaming up with British actor and singer/songwriter Cynthia Erivo for a tribute to those from the music industry we lost in the past year. So as if you need any more reason to tune in to the Grammy’s on February 12th, need I give you a gazillion more, like Beyoncé, Katy Perry, The Weeknd, Daft Punk, Adele, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars, Anderson Paak, Keith Urban, Alicia Keys, Maren Morris… but, you know, whatever, the decision is ALL yours, so choose wisely.
But as far as the newest additions to the lineup go, I want to hear your thoughts, so share all your excitement for Gaga’s Grammy comeback, and which other artist you’re most excited to see perform right down here in the comments, and as always don’t forget to subscribe. Thanks for hanging out with me here on Clevver’s award show coverage, I’m your host Emile Ennis Jr. and I’ll see ya next time!
