Okay guys --- as if last week’s Freak Show premiere wasn’t scary enough --- this second episode has definitely just upped the ante. There obviously were some major story developments --- like Michael Chiklis and Angela Basset’s characters being introduced BUT that was HARDLY the biggest takeway after watching. Right now is all about the 5 most WTF moments from last night’s episode and before anyone gets mad… This WILL contain spoilers. So if you don’t want to know… stop watching now or forever hold your peace.

First up --- it’s already been established that Twisty is the creepiest clown of all time. So I guess we shouldn’t have been particularly shocked when we witnessed the scene where an innocent little toy store clerk follows a tiny robot toy complete with trail of blood only to discover the store owner’s head casually placed on a shelf. And is it just me or is this shot of Twisty between the two mannequins one of the creepiest things you’ve ever seen? But not to worry, things escalate even further when Twisty follows up his first decapitation by stabbing the kid in the throat. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

This next one may not be scary but Dandy’s creepy factor went up about 30 notches when we saw him drinking out of a personalized baby bottle. Yes, a grown man named Dandy was sipping cognac from a crystal baby bottle. We could not make this up if we tried.

Our next WTF moment has to do with the entrance of Michael Chicklis and Angela Bassett. Apparently things aren’t always sunshine and rainbows for the unlikely couple and thanks to some flashbacks we discover that Michael Chicklis’s character walked in on his wife and another man… so naturally he responds by ripping his head off. Oh and can we take a second to appreciate Angela Bassett’s introduction?
Number 4 goes to the ever so lovely Francis Conroy when she pulls up next to Twisty as if he is a skipping and singing down the street and asks him this:

Now for number 5 --- after Dandy and Twisty’s slight … um… misunderstanding … Dandy follows his new friend back to his rusty school bus where we see Twisty’s softer side… aka he gives the kids the bloody robot toy from earlier along with the severed head of the store clerk. So thoughtful, right?

But luckily --- the little girl he’s holding captive managed to get a weapon prepared and, well, you know how Twisty was already super creepy with his mask on…. SPOILER ALERT HE’S WAY SCARIER WITH IT OFF.
Okay… I’ll give you a moment to recover from that.
