The 2015 Oscars kicked off tonight, and let’s all give a huuuuge round of applause to all the outstanding presenters, who said everyone’s name correctly… well most of them anyway…
Today’s news feed is brought to you by XFINITY, the future of awesome.
And welcome back to Clevver’s Trophy Life where we’re bringing you all the most talked about Oscar moments, including 6 of those from the Oscar presenters. We’ll start off with the very first presenter of the evening, Lupita Nyong’o. OK, so her presenter speech wasn’t LOL-worthy, but we do want to point out that she paid tribute to the funny man himself, Robin Williams. Check it out:
That was the perfect way to kick off the Oscars, in my opinion. Next up, the second presenters of the night were Jennifer Lopez and Chris Pine. Although the too-beautiful-for-words actors, who presented the award for best costume design, nailed their speeches, JLo had an almost “OOPS” moment as her and Chris Pine exited the stage.
Pretty sure JLo didn’t learn anything from JLaw at the 2013 Oscars… Kick the dress, then walk. Kick, walk, kick, walk! And next, it’s almost a definite guarantee that if you let Anna Kendrick and Kevin Hart present together, there will definitely be some good laughs as the presented the award for best animated short… and we sensed all the irony… Take a look:
Hate to break it to you Kevin, but the short jokes will never stop… Moving onto the 4th best presenter moment, which we sorta just combined a few into one. We’re not sure if the presenters were just stoked about who was winning the Oscar, but there was a very noticeable mic-hitting pattern goin on. From Naomi Watts, to Sean Penn, these guys just couldn’t keep their cool…
And next we have the most anticipated presenters of the evening, Idina Menzel and John Travolta, and what better way to get a little revenge on John for totally butchering her name last year than to have a little fun of her own?
And for the last incredible presenter moment of the evening, it’s safe to say the hills definitely came alive when the legendary Julie Andrews walked onstage after Lady Gaga paid tribute to her by singing a medley of her hits from The Sound of Music. Julie was so humbled and in awe of Gaga’s performance, and the entire moment between them was literally perfect.
It’s safe to say that both of their nights were completely made.
OK, so which presenter shocked you the most, made you laugh the hardest, caught you totally off guard? Whatever the case may be, let us know what you thought in the comments section right below.
