Adele Attends Emotional Vigil For Grenfell Tower Fire in London

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past, idk forever, you’d know that Adele is a living breathing ANGEL on earth – but if you need more proof, sit tight.
It hasn’t exactly been an easy past few weeks for the city of London, following the London Bridge terrorist attack and just this week, the city has endured a deadly apartment building fire at Grenfell Tower in North Kensington that took two days to control, and killed at least 17, while injuring 70 others, although the death toll is expected to rise. It is unclear what initially caused the blaze, however, it emerged that it spread through external cladding after a $12.7 million refurbishment of the block that developers said was safe.
Hundreds have gathered to pay tribute to the lives that were lost, and among many, Adele, alongside her husband Simon Konecki, physically appeared to show her support for the victims and their families. The singer kept a low profile, but was reported by fans asking if anyone needed help in between hugging fans and strangers.
Many have expressed their condolences for the victims, as well as Adele appearing to show support – one user pointed out that he act of love shows that just because she didn’t tweet about it, doesn’t mean she doesn’t care. Another wrote, “The fact that Adele has gone to Grenfell tower and not said a word about it just proves how amazingly sincere she is… Adele is an angel, she deserves heaven, biggest heart ever, so proud of her.”
But among the many that praised Adele, some were quick to slam her for showing up as means to a selfish publicity stunt… there’s an attack for everything these days, I swear. That being said, I don’t want to discredit those who did share kind words, like UK native Rita Ora, who tweeted QUOTE, “Shocked and devastated to hear this terrible news. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy in West London.”
But I also want to take this time to thank the 250+ firefighters who risked their own lives to help save others’ and who are currently battling the inferno this very second.
