In case you missed it, comedian Amy Schumer revealed just yesterday that she’s expecting a baby with her husband of 8 months, Chris Fischer!
For those of you who don’t know much about this couple, this will be their first child, and of course, as any expectant mother would, Amy teased the exciting announcement on Instagram.
If you saw Amy’s post, you know that she photoshopped her and her hubby’s faces onto a photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle— another famous couple who just recently announced that they’re expecting their first child as well.
Although Amy teased the news with that hilarious photo, she actually sent fans over to Jessica Yellin’s Instagram page for the official announcement. Jessica is a friend of Amy’s and she’s also a political journalist, and given Amy’s political activism, it honestly doesn’t come as much of a surprise that she took her pregnancy as an opportunity to remind people to vote in the upcoming midterm election.
Those who watched Jessica’s Insta story saw a long list of candidates that Amy reaaaally wants people to vote for, and with a baby on the way, Amy probably feels it’s more important now that ever before to elect the right people into office. That being said, if you looked closely at the list, you would’ve seen the announcement right there in black and white!
That’s right, you guys! At the end of Amy’s list of candidates were the words, QUOTE, “Amy Schumer- I’m pregnant,” and I don’t know about you guys, but I think this announcement is pretty genius! I mean, announcing that you’re expecting a baby AND getting people out there to the polls? AMAZING!
At this point, there’s been no word on the gender or when the baby is due, so it seems like we’ll just have to wait for more details.
