Anna Kendrick Talks 'Cruel & Unusual' Comparisons To Kendall Jenner

Ok, so news of Anna’s forthcoming tell-all novel isn’t exactly NEW, but the new excerpt she just released further proves our theory that Anna is US, and we ARE Anna.
It’s been a mere 15 months of pure agony, anticipation, wonderment and excitement that Anna Kendrick announced her collaboration for an autobiographical collection of essays with Touchstone Publishing, but in order to ease our impatience in the slightest, Anna has just released her book’s cover art for the novel, to be titled Scrappy Little Nobody, and it’s just as perfectly ‘Anna’ as you’d expect.
On the cover appears the tiny-framed 5-foot, 2-inch tall actress, standing alongside the bold title, and being the generous soul that she is, Anna also shared a short excerpt, reflecting on the life of a celeb, what really goes down during photo shoots, and being compared to Kendall Jenner, but don’t worry: NO Jenners were slammed in the making of this novel.
In fact, it’s quite the opposite. As the official synopsis states, the book will QUOTE “offer her one-of-a-kind commentary on the absurdities she’s experienced on her way to and from the heart of pop culture,” when Anna recalls in the teaser, doing everything she’s directed to do during photo shoots while still feeling uncomfortable. She writes, “When I stay still, and focus all my attention on being the best little model I can be and still I get looks of disappointment and confusion because I don’t look like Kendall Jenner, it hurts my tiny feelings. (No one should be compared to Kendall Jenner. It’s cruel and unusual.)”
And I’m gonna have to agree with that statement, because HAVE YOU SEEN THE PERFECTION THAT IS KENDALL JENNER? But in true Anna fashion, she finishes the excerpt with a quick solution, as would we all in a moment of sheer panic, saying, “So I run around a little. I’m not an un-photographable troll! I’m just a little scamp who’s unfocused!”
And if that’s any indication of the comedy that ensues in Anna’s first-ever literary venture, along with I’d go ahead and give that a double thumbs up, but we’re just going to have to wait a few more months until November 15th on the book’s release date to find out more.
