Fashion icon Kendall Jenner graces the cover of June/July’s Harper’s Bazaar, where she’s gettin’ all sorts of candid about her previous aspirations and growing up in an “abnormal” lifestyle.
She may be a product of a wealthy family and rock Chanel on the daily but underneath it all, Kendall is just your average 20-year-old girl.
Before the glitz and the glamour, shockingly enough, Kendall Jenner was a normal girl, living a normal life with normal dreams. She sat down with Chanel and Fendi’s head designer Karl Lagerfeld, where she revealed she’d always wanted to become a vet when she grew up, saying QUOTE, “I've always loved animals. I rode horses for 10 and a half years, so I thought I was going to be a professional horseback rider and then a vet."
But although a simple lifestyle seems unobtainable for a world-renowned reality-star-turned-supermodel, Kendall still strives to live a normal life, doing regular everyday things… like attending Justin Bieber concerts. She said, “I went to Justin Bieber's concert the other night. Of course I have the fever! He's a really good friend of the family's, so we all went to support him. Kanye went two nights in a row. He's a huge fan—I was shocked."
And speaking of fangirling, Kendall also revealed her undying love for Queen Bey, saying, “Oh, my God, are you kidding? I am 100 percent a huge fan of Beyoncé. If I see her, I will faint. I've met her before. I just get really nervous and quiet—I just shut up and bow down.”
Don’t we all?! But it’s the little things that Ken misses the most that being famous doesn’t necessarily allow as she described things like sleeping in, being with friends, and driving around the city, saying, "I fall asleep at 6 P.M. with the jet lag. I hang out with my friends, get food, and drive my car. It's the little things I miss the most. Like I love being stuck in L.A. traffic. I miss it!"
I’m not quite sure loving LA traffic constitutes as a normal thing, but Kendall did talk about growing up in the spotlight and thanks her parents for being raised in a completely normal household, even describing her momager Kris Jenner as being the “pushover” and her dad Bruce Jenner as being the “strict parent.” She said QUOTE, “I feel like a lot of people say that kids who grow up in that kind of world go crazy. But it has everything to do with how your parents raise you. I was raised so normally, or as normally as I could have been."
