A demonstration was held outside Parliament today to bring attention to the release of the alleged mastermind of Bill Kayong's murder.
Bill Kayong was the PKR Bekenu candidate during the 2016 Sarawak state election, and also served as Miri MP Dr Michael Teo Yu Keng's political secretary.
He was best known for his work as an activist on native customary land rights (NCR).
Kayong was shot dead in his vehicle while waiting at a traffic light intersection on the morning of June 21, 2016. He was 43 years old and a father of two.
