DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke has criticised the EC for taking down Pakatan Harapan's billboards featuring Pakatan Harapan chairperson Mahathir Mohamad, their president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and the coalition's candidates Anthony Loke (Seremban) and Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek (Ampangan).
According to EC's new guidelines, candidates can only use photos of only two leaders of a political party - the president and deputy president, or their equivalent - on campaign materials, other than the photo of the candidate.
However Loke said that it was just a guideline and did not go against the election offenses act.
