Who knew that Blake Shelton was so anti-Britney Spears? What's up guys, welcome back to Clevver News. Yes, the country crooner co-hosted the ACM Awards with Luke Bryan in Las Vegas over the weekend, and didn't waste any time taking a verbal jab at the legendary Ms. Britney Spears.
During the opening monologue, Luke and Blake started talking about all the live performances that would be taking place throughout the night's festivities, when Blake said this:

Ouch! Of course, Blake is referring to Britney Spears' Planet Hollywood residency that she began back in December. Interesting enough, Britney's little sis Jamie Lynn was in the audience, but no one caught her reaction. We'll let this one slide, Blake, since it was harmless enough, but don't you dare go dissing Britney again! We love both Britney and Blake, but let's not forget how long Britney has been on the music scene. We call that longevity my friends -- then again, she didn't make it big because of her live singing, so maybe he kind of has a point. As for the rest of the ACM Awards, Blake's wife Miranda Lambert snagged three trophies, while country legend George Strait won Entertainer of the Year. Congrats to them!
