Caitlyn Jenner didn’t tell the Kardashians about her gender confirmation surgery until her book was published and now she’s revealing why.
The rift between Caitlyn Jenner and the Kardashians keeps getting deeper and deeper by the day.
Caitlyn Jenner and the Kardashians have had a tumultuous relationship ever since her memoir, Secrets of My Life, came out last April. Kim, Kourtney and Khloe were not only upset that the 68-year-old spoke poorly about their mom, Kris Jenner, in the book, but also because she didn’t keep them in the loop about her transition.
The Olympic champion has always maintained that the secrecy was not meant to hurt her ex-wife and former stepchildren, but now she’s getting a little more candid about why she let them find out about her sex reassignment surgery at the same time as the rest of the world.
She told Piers Morgan on the latest installment of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories QUOTE “I didn’t tell anybody. It’s none of their business.”
But after a little prompting, Caitlyn revealed the real reason why she wasn’t comfortable sharing the news with the famous sisters.
Cait said QUOTE “I didn’t want them to leak it to the press, okay? There was no reason for them to know about it. Of course I didn’t trust them.”
Caitlyn previously admitted that she hasn’t spoken to Kim Kardashian in about a year now, which she said is devastating, but she’s trying to focus only on her biological children -- Kendall and Kylie Jenner -- at this point.
The Olympic champion admitted QUOTE “I don’t talk to the Kardashians anymore. The only ones I am concerned about are Kendall and Kylie. They are my biological kids. I spent 23 years carting them around.”
The Kardashians were raised by Caitlyn and once had an incredibly close relationship with her. It must be so tough for both parties to suddenly have that taken away.
