Well, Harmonizers… If you thought Camila Cabello would be spilling ANY tea about her fallout with Fifth Harmony, you’re gonna have to keep waiting!
That’s right, you guys… it seems like Camila Cabello just isn’t ready to tell all!
With her debut solo coming out next week, fans are more curious than ever before to learn just what happened back in December of 2016 when Camila announced her departure from the hit-making girl group. And since she recently sat down with Rolling Stone to discuss her upcoming album and her solo success thus far, we’ve gotta say… we thought we were finally gonna get some of the juicy details about the split!
Unfortunately, it seems like we’re gonna have to keep waiting because Camila kept pretty tight-lipped about the drama, and wouldn’t even address whether she was kicked out of the group or left on her own accord! She said, "A lot of my fans were, or are, fans of the group. I don't like to ruin the dream. They believed in something that's beautiful. I'm sure with One Direction, too, nobody really saw behind the scenes. You just see the dream."
Even though we’re still very much in the dark about what happened between the girls, when it comes to music, they all seem to be experiencing continued success. Next Friday, Camila’s debut solo album hits the shelves, and although she originally thought it would be a sad album, considering the rollercoaster she’s been on since her departure from the group, the vibe of the record seems to have taken an unexpected turn!
She said of the album, “At first I thought it was gonna be, like, a sad-song album. Then the more I got into the year, it just was better. I felt way happier. I feel that it has a good balance of the emo and the happy." We’re so glad to hear she’s doing well, and we can’t wait for new music!
