Camila Cabello is finally opening up about THAT moment during the Grammys when Blue Ivy stopped her own parents from clapping during her speech, and she’s demanding answers.
Looks like Blue has some explaining to do…
Yeah, sure, Bruno Mars might’ve swept this year’s Grammy Awards, but it was the moment everyone was talking about when Blue Ivy silenced her parents Beyoncé and Jay Z while Camila Cabello was onstage giving a speech before presenting an award… so naturally, a meme was born.
Fans have generated mixed responses since then, some saying that Blue was simply shushing so she could hear what Camila was saying, but others assumed Blue was stopping them from clapping because she resented Camila from leaving Fifth Harmony.
Camila got word of the alleged shade thrown at her by what may be the most woke 6-year-old in the entire world, and during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw, actually admitted to feeling insecure by the gesture.
Camila continued on the attempt to justify Blue’s actions, saying QUOTE, “I literally stopped, and was like, ‘You know what? I’m not gonna think about that’ because I feel like she would like me! Kids like me!”
The two went back and forth until Nick came to the conclusion that Blue was most likely just trying to listen in on Camila’s speech. He said QUOTE, “I think she was over the applause interrupting your speech. I think she was saying to Beyoncé and JAY-Z, to her mum and dad — ‘she’s not finished, she's still talking.’ Like, ‘Be cool, be cool.’”
Kids – they do the darndest things and will have you reconsidering your entire existence with one simple gesture. But what do you guys think? Was Camila just shaded by one of Hollywood’s most elitist children, or was Blue Ivy actually trying to listen? Share all your thoughts down here in the comments and after that, you can click right over here to see Camila gushing over her new man even before they were dating. Ugh, modern romance. But thanks so much for hanging out with me here on Clevver News, I’m your host Tom Plumley and I’ll see you next time.
