Camila Cabello received the surprise of a lifetime after a fan’s song written about her went viral, and it’s just as painfully awkward yet hilariously brilliant as you’d expect.
We thought we saw it all when it comes to fans expressing admiration for their favorite artists, but they just keep surprising you…
From the very beginning of Camila’s career in Fifth Harmony, she’s developed quite the loyal fan base of Harmonizers, and more recently, fans that have supported her move into the ‘solo’ system. But one super fan named Evan Blum took his love for the singer to all new heights, writing and recording a love ballad about her, conveniently titled “Camila Cabello,” and with the help of a few other fans, the track has now become a viral sensation.
So it may not be as much of a ‘sensation’ to Evan’s girlfriend, who was misinformed that Evan would be dedicating a song to her, and ONLY her, but what she came to find out was that it was more of a comparison to his ACTUAL true love, Camila Cabello.
More lyrics in the song Evan sang directly at his girlfriend read, “The world is a girl group, and you're my favorite member. Like Camila Cabello, you brighten my day-O, I’m losing the words to say-O.” Yeah, real smooth, dude…
But one person who found the song to be quite entertaining was Camila Cabello herself. After getting ahold of the track and hearing it for herself, Camila tweeted back to Evan, saying QUOTE, “HAHAHAHAHAHAH OMG OMG Evan, I don't know why she was upset, I think your song is dope.”
Although Evan revealed later on in an email, that QUOTE, “This is pretty much the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me,” he may need to talk a few things out with his girlfriend, who had a complete opposite reaction, rightfully so…
You win some, you lose some, but hey, at least the song was a win in Camila’s eyes… so right now I gotta know what you guys thought about Evan’s Camila-inspired song… creepy orrr comical? Share all your thoughts right down here in the comments and after that, be sure to click right over here to check out Camila’s newest collab in the works (and don’t worry, it’s NOT with Evan).
