It’s been a hot Havana minute since we’ve been graced with new music from Camila Cabello, but her recent teasers are suggesting a brand new era on the horizon.
Ok so Camila has clearly been taking a page out of the T-Swift musical teaser handbook over the past few months, and for the record, I’m not mad about it. Back in January, Camila teased an upcoming collaboration coming with Mark Ronson...
AKA the musical GODSEND behind the “Star Is Born” soundtrack
BUT that wasn’t all she teased. Between teasing photos hard at work in the studio and the title of her new album, we will undoubtedly be getting a new wave of Camila… and very soon. In fact, Camila even revealed that she was finally able to take her first break in 6 years…
By the way, it’s 10 a.m. and i’ve already taken, like, 2 snack breaks, soooo…..
But all this means besides the fact that I literally can’t function without my snack drawer is that Camila is refreshed and re-inspired and we are HERE FOR IT. Over the weekend she teased emotional lyrics that are giving us MAJOR “Consequences” vibes, to be featured on Mark Ronson’s new project called “Late Night Feelings” so prepare to channel your inner middle-school-emo-kid, ya’ll...
Camila revealed in the Instagram caption that the project will be a musical masterpiece of QUOTE “...emo bops sung by girls about love and heartbreak.” It only took her about 5 minutes to sign on as she revealed she had the PERFECT lyrics for the job. QUOTE, “I had lyrics for a song I wanted to write called “find you again”, we went in the studio and finished it that day!” Other female powerhouses who’ve also signed on are Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys.
Seriously, need I say more?
Camila also teased her album title via Insta stories earlier this week, and instead of revealing the name, used only three emojis to describe the album: a rose, a set of lips and a black heart…
Oh we’re gettin’ REAAAL deep now…
So we all know Camila is known for her emotional lyrics, but there IS a fairytale happy ending here, guys. Camila will actually be getting her Cinderella moment… and very soon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Camila will star in the latest re-telling of the classic Cinderella tale, which will be released by Sony Pictures and will feature a more “modern reimagining” of the original. THR also revealed that the idea was brought to life by none other than late night host James Corden, who is also taking on the role of producing.
But really though, I’d pay big money to see him as a fairy godfather…
Although Camila hasn’t mentioned word of the film just yet, we can’t help but get excited about the big news and what we can only assume is even MORE music.
