Camila Cabello takes fans on an emotional journey behind the scenes of her new music video for ‘Crying in The Club’
And in order to channel those very real emotions while filming, Camila reveals she knew exactly what or rather, who, to think about
In a tweet posted to her account early this morning, Camila Cabello shared an in depth behind the scenes look at the making of her latest music vid for Crying In The Club, saying QUOTE “making the video for crying in the club was one of the most intense, fun things I’ve ever done, check out da BTS.”
As the video opens to a black screen Camila’s voice is heard saying QUOTE “"Life just has its seasons, you know? Flowers can't bloom all the time and the sun can't be out all the time,” before she appears on screen.
Throughout the 4 minute video, Camila takes her fans on deep into the writing process for the hit, revealing that ‘Crying in The Club’ is actually 2 songs in one. The beginning is a song called Questions that eventually transitions into ‘No Crying,’ another song that Camila reveals, in the writing process, QUOTE “helped me find myself.” She then explains she channeled the healing emotions she felt while writing while filming the vid, but in order to really get into those QUOTE “sad feels,” Camila thought about the one person that inspired the song in the first place.
Now the only question is, who you talkin’ about girl?
The behind the scenes exclusive also shows Camila filming those bathtub shots as she tells the camera “they’re about to put warm water on me and I feel good, before transitioning into the ultra sexy shots of the dance club.
And as the vid comes to and end, showing Camila dancing under the neon lights, her voice is heard again saying QUOTE “and when you find that strength again, it just makes that more powerful, because you know what it feels like to be weak and broken, so you’re so much more appreciative of everything when you get back up.”
And just like that, a hit song was born.
