What’s up guys, it’s Sussan Mourad back here on Clevver News, and Shawn Mendes just dished one seriously valuable life lesson: “You can’t just DROP Camila Cabello.” And since we’re on the topic of valuable life lessons, Shawn, practice what you preach…
I say that because Shawn literally dropped Camila… like, THE Camila Cabello. Flat on the floor. On the cold hard ground. Ok so that was kinda dramatic, but kinda not, so here’s what went down. Shawn released a new behind-the-scenes video of the making of he and Camila’s new music video for “Senorita”, where the two dance through their routine flawlessly… until, well, the epic fail.
Yes, your eyes are working, and double yes, Shawn literally dropped Camila, like the way you somehow always seem to drop your cell phone in the most inopportune way after a long night out.
While in the middle of their routine, Camila pulled away as Shawn was supposed to maintain a solid grip on her hand and pull her back in, buuuut instead, shawty got low. Like ground-floor-level low.
Shawn quickly went to retrieve his bestie off the ground, but don’t worry, no Camila was harmed in the making of this video, folks. Later on in the video, he openly admitted what we were all thinking: “You can’t just drop Camila Cabello, you can’t do that. I can’t do that again or it’s over for me.”
I mean, he’s not wrong… but on a lighter note, the rest of the video also features some of the pairs’ more playful moments when they weren’t causing us all to drool a puddle of saliva. The entire team can also be seen celebrating when the two nailed their routine, and even showcased a vulnerable side of Shawn admitting how nervous he was for the dance scene.
He said QUOTE, “I feel nervous to do this dance. The first scene is the dance scene, which is the thing I’m most nervous about, but maybe that’s good?” I’d say so considering the insane reaction to the video…You’ll remember last week my co-host Emile Ennis Jr. really lost his mind!
